canal boat hire

Hi all,

Has anyone used the company Alpha-croisiere to hire there canal boats in France. I have been comparing all companies and these apear to be the cheapest, or does anyone have any thoughts or ideas on which company to go through

I consider all of the following companies reputable:

These companies have been in business for a long time and have large extensive networks.

There are smaller companies who compete on price to a greater extent than those above. These smaller companies should be OK but expect older boats and fewer travel options.

yes I%26#39;m also interested in any cheaper canal boat options.

It sounded the perfect way to give our family of 5 a breather, after the long trip out from Oz, and visiting relations in UK and Ireland, while still being able to discover more of France.

Ideally about 5 days on a canal would be great before exploring more of france and Italy. However the cost seems prohibitive for a family.

Any %26quot;backpack%26quot; versions of this?
