side trip to WWII beaches from Paris

I%26#39;m taking my 14 year old grandson to European tour this summer and he is very interested in WWII history. We have one day at leisure in Paris and I am wondering if anyone knows of a day tour to Normandy or the beaches? Any other suggestions?

My husband and I took a bus tour to Caen, the WWII Museum, Omaha Beach, and American Cemetery. We made a reservation at a travel office located near the Louvre. The tour guide spoke English. It was worth the money. My dad served in WWII and landed at Cherbourg, France, in Sept. after D-Day. It was emotional to say the least.

If you grandson is interested, I applaud him. You won%26#39;t forget it.

Thanks, Petunia! Do you mind if I ask how much a trip like this might run? Did they pick you up at your hotel? It sounds like your trip would be the highlight of his trip.
