Cheap Eats in Nice...

Hey Guys

Im in Nice this weekend, we are just going because im a film nut and want to visit Cannes, we will be eating in Nice and seeing as i its just a quick low budget break we need to know where is cheap to eat and a rough idea of how much it would be for breakfast, lunch, dinner...

Im from Dublin so hopefully its not as expensive as here.......

Indeed, Nice will be much less expensive than Dublin. The French really do not go for breakfast apart from a café crème and possibly a croissant. Both will cost you about 4€ at any of the many bars and cafés in the city.

For main meals the best value in most restaurants are the fixed price menus which range from about 11€ to 20€. I recommend lunch at Bar de la Bourse on Place Saint-François or Chez Palmyre on rue Droite for the best value meal. The locals also know this so get there at the stroke of noon to guarantee a table.

For dinner I suggest Chez Davia on rue Grimaldi or Acchiardo on rue Droite. Again, they are both very popular so arrive just after opening time to ensure a table.

Bon appetit!
