Hello My husband and I are staying 10 nights in April on rue Vieille du Temple , Paris. We are both in our early seventies, but, I must say fit and able to walk great distances and have stamina, also, enjoy tasty food and french wines. This is the first time we have traveled together to Paris, myself 20 years ago for 9 days studying architecture and art. We are looking for suggestions to: get from CDG to our hotel, small bistros and restaurants in Marais, the 3rd, 4th , 5th , 6th , districts and other places to eat that are local, charming and not over the hill pricewise. I did read that for museum fare the Pompidou is very good. Opinions? Years ago, one of the Paris museums that I found most interesting was the Cluny. Although, when there, the Roman part was not open. Maybe someone can answer this. Near the Cluny there is a medieval charnel house preserved wonderfully, the post and beams are carved with scull and cross bones. I just can’t find a mention of this on the Internet, alas, my notes are lost. We appreciate all replies, Thank you

Hi:
There are remnants of a charnel house in the garden of the church of Saint Serverin.
Might that be what you had in mind?

Take a taxi (@55E) or a shuttle from CDG to your hotel. The shuttle may be a little bit cheaper; however you may have one or two additional stops. Try paris-shuttle.com, paris.shuttleairport.com, web.france.com/shuttle, greyshuttle.com or Yellow Shuttle. There are lots of companies. Look for the best value. I have taken parishuttle.com and had a good experience. There are people who have had good and bad experiences with all of these companies.
Eat at L%26#39;As du Falafel on Rue des Rosiers in the Marais. Best falafel in the world. You can purchase at a walk-up window and then walk around window shopping or you can pay a little more and eat inside the restaurant. Don%26#39;t miss it. Amazing!
I also suggest Robert et Louise. It is a meat restaurant which is highly recommended.
I also love Nicolas Flamel. I ate lunch there. They have amazing creme brulee. It is located in the oldest house in Paris.
I love Angelinas on Rue de Rivoli across from the Tuilleries for quiche, hot chocolate (L%26#39;Africain) or a mont blanc dessert. It isn%26#39;t expensive and the people watching is wonderful. I sat next to an Ambassador to Nigeria who used to be an Ambassador from Brazil in Paris. He told me his plane landed and he took a taxi straight to Angelinas so he could have a mont blanc--his favorite dessert.
