I don%26#39;t have to wait till October!
My husband is taking me to Paris July 7th to 14th. He wants to stay somewhere different as we are staying in 6th in October and I fancy Marais. (probably over budget)11th or 10th. Anyone stayed in good apartment in these areas? (not 1st, 7th or 9th thanks)
Budget under 500E (800$ £400) if possible. one bedroom. dishwasher essential.
I have done a search but theres nothing recent and as it%26#39;s July I need to book soon.
Thanks
Denise.

Here is one in the 11th at 92 rue de Charonne. Just a tad over 500 but close enough if you need something quickly!

Upped the budget to 600euros (947$ £475) per week. trying to be more realistic.
Thamnks for suggestions so far.
Would also like feedback about streets to AVOID in 10th and 11th arrondisements.
Thanks

You may check in the website homeway.com - check out property # 74401 - it is close to Canal St Martin in the 10th arr. The price seems right too.
Good luck.

Dear adoree
Thanks for your information. looks good.
I just wondered if you had stayed in this apartment or used this company. The link took me to holiday-rentals.co.uk.
Oddly enough I had been searching myself and this property was on my shortlist but I didn%26#39;t know anything about the company.
Any more info would be useful
Thanks
Denise

Thanks khutson.
I%26#39;m sooo excited, but now I have the problem and worry of finding an apartment thats OK before the cost of flights go up.
We are so lucky in the UK to have budget airlines, yes there is an environmental ethic but for people like me (ie. Hard working but not rich), budget airlines have opened up the world.
You read of so many scams and unscrupulous landlords (as well as very good ones) that I%26#39;m having difficulty and it%26#39;s short notice.
Sorry to post yet another apartment enquiry.

Hi Denise
The buses are easy once you get a grip of the system. You should get l%26#39;Indispensible Paris par Arrondisements 3 plans of each. 1. All metro RER stations with platform positions and entrances, 2. a street map, and 3. what you need, all the buses with every stop shown. Because of the one way streets the buses follow different routes depending on their direction of travel, so this book is essential.
Have fun. I envy you. Bon voyage

Hello, Denise
No, I have not stayed in that apartment, but 2 months ago stayed on the 10th - everything was perfect, no safety or other problems.
My husband and I discoverd the canal St. Martin strolling the neighborhood one afternoon (the part close to Gare de l%26#39;Est) and looks like a quiet and pleasant area.
In reference to the website, I checked several and am not even sure which one I ended up using.
Hope you have a great time.
Adoreeurope
