Hi
We%26#39;re heading to Paris next week for a few days (for our 10th anniversary!) and are staying in the 5e/6e area in the Hotel Central Saint-Germain on rue Champollion. Can anyone recommend some nice restaurants/bistros to eat in for breakfast and dinners?
Many thanks, Lynne :o)

La Taverne 2, Place de l%26#39;Odéon 75006 Paris, France. On a nice day you can sit outside and sample mussels.
Cafe Bonaparte 42, r Bonaparte 75006 Paris, France (just down from Les Deux Magots. On a nice day you can sit outside and have a nice omelette.
Brasserie l%26#39;Île St-Louis, 55, quai Bourbon On a nice day you can sit outside to try charcroute or cassolet and they serve a great onion tart with Alsacian beer.
L%26#39;Atlas 11 rue de Buci. On a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy Oysters! or moules frites.
L’Insulaire, at 16 rue Gregoire de Tours for an inexpensive Prix Fix dinner (13.5e IIRC) They have a great desert cheese plate. You%26#39;ll have to sit inside, even on a nice day, but they have large windows.
If you see someone from New Jersey with a black Basque beret, it will be 1) the only one in Paris next week, and 2) me.

This would be a great time for you to learn to use the %26#39;..SEARCH IN:..%26#39; (located below the Green line on the main PARIS FORUM topics page) feature of this TA site, using %26#39;..Restaurants in 5th %26amp; 6th..%26#39; as your basic search criteria. Your effort will be rewarded with recommendations and suggestions for a great many restaurants, bistros and cafés in your general neighborhood of the 5eme-Latin Quuarter (where your hotel is located) and the 6eme-Saint Germain des Prés just a bit to the west, across Blvd. Saint Michel.
The exercise will also prove useful for generating answers to questions you probably haven%26#39;t thought of yet and the additional questions that arise from those answers...quickly, conveniently and comprehensively in a great many instances. Try it..it%26#39;s a GREAT tool.
