May 1 is a legal holiday in France. So far most of the attractions seem to be closed that day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do in Paris on May 1? It seems a shame to waste a day of our precious vacation. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

I would go to the Paris attractions link (on the tripadvisor site) then go down to the blue research box and look at %26quot;100 things to do in Paris%26quot;.

I%26#39;m heading to Paris on the 28th and there until the 2nd. Like you I%26#39;m going to be there on May Day and most of the museums are closed.
However, it appears that notred dame will be open in the afternoon with an english speaking tour. The Eiffel Tower will be open that day. So I was going to go first thing in the morning to the Tower and then the afternoon to notre dame.
Let me know if you would like to go together as I%26#39;m coming to paris by myself...

I%26#39;ll be there too. I contacted Fat Tire bike tours and they are working that day. My daughters and I may do that.
