Advice needed for Accomodation

Hi,

Any recommendation for 2 persons? Apartment with kitchen facility preferred. Location to be near either metro Hotel de Ville or Cordeliers. I have no luck so far.. checked www.en.lyon-france.com %26amp; many others. If not, near metro Bellecour will also be great.

BTW, what will be the temperature range or weather be like as we will be there from 7-11 Mar.

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers

You may check this place, that offers self catering studios and is located close to Bellecour:

Thank you Lyon-only for helping us making the decision :)

I did not answer your weather question. As you now weather is very uncertain. March is still winter here, with average temperatures around 7/8°C, although weather can be pretty nice. As an example, we have a very sunny weather right now with 14°C, that is not at all what we could expect in February!

You should take winter clothes, and then easy to put clothes off if you are lucky enough to have warm weather.

There was no confirmation from Resideal Lyon Bellecour. We are now trying Avy Residence Hoteliere. Has anyone used their service before?

Try this other one, that is centrally located and nice:

Perhaps try this:

We had a great experience with one of these last summer.

The Citidines has very uneven reviews on this website if you check...

Stayed at Avy Residence during my recent visit to Lyon. Not a very well maintained apartment - no chopping board, cracking pots, no pot cover, weak water pressure for bath, mulfunction room heater in toilet %26amp; inconsistent supply of hot water for bath. For 4 nights, we were given only one toilet roll too. Will not recommend this apartment in summer if setup remains unchange, it will be too warm. Will also not recommend if one does not speak French. I had a hard time understanding %26#39;conversations%26#39; by the owner with my highly inadequate French.

But, it is in a good location for sleep, food %26amp; sights. Very very quiet at night; Place Bellecour %26amp; old Lyon are within walking distance. Fresh meat (butchery), adequately sized food marche, metro to TGV station are just around the corner.

Tried contacting ChambresLyon before Avy but the appartment we wanted was unavailable for the period of our visit.

Overall, I prefer the atmosphere at old Lyon than the peninsular, and I know I have fallen in love with Parc de la Tete d%26#39;Or. It must be a very pretty sight in spring.

Thanks for the feedback, HappyMint, it is always useful!

When I was there, I actually had a wishful thought %26quot;How nice it would be if only-Lyon offered to meet us. We will then know where to go besides the tourist areas.%26quot; :)

We were also not prepared that most shops will be closed on weekend. We actually went to Part-Dieu on Saturday hoping to get some groceries. Ha ha ha It was a fruitless trip, almost died of hunger too because restaurants closed for lunch too!

I miss Parc de la Tete d%26#39;Or... if not the 14 hours flight I think I will go often :p

The Part Dieu shopping center is like any shopping mall, definitively not for grocery. I don%26#39;t like it, I prefer open air shopping, only goes there because the only Gap store is there.

Too bad you missed %26quot;Les Halles%26quot;, outstanding food there. There is also an awsome food market every morning (except on mondays) along the Saône bank.
