I%26#39;m looking to take my husband to the famous Arc de Triomph horse-racing event in October, and rather than go on a pre-organised trip wanted to arrange myself.
Can anyone tell me how I can purchase entry tickets to the event/raceground.
Are they available on the day, can I buy online, or is there a telephone number?
Thanks in advance x

Hi
The Prix de l%26#39;Arc is Sunday October 5th this year.
There are many companies selling packages and general admission tickets for very high prices.
I went last year and my tickets were given me free because I went to another race a few weeks before.
If I remember correctly general admission was less than 15 euro anyway.
It was a wet day but tickets were still being sold.
Not that I%26#39;d wait to the last minute but I%26#39;d shy from the online sellers who are selling tickets at 33 pounds sterling for a genral admission.
It%26#39;s held at the Hippodrome de Longchamp in the Bois de Boulogne but for the life of me I can%26#39;t locate their web address....

Thanks very much for all your help -- much appreciated. As I suspected, it%26#39;s not that easy to obtain tickets through the %26quot;normal%26quot; route, as everyone is promoting expensive packages.

I went last year. I am looking back at my emails. I purchased my ticket on line. I think the site was www@galop.francebillet.com My ticket was 8E.
You can take a bus out to the racetrack. It is really fun. The place is mobbed (apparently it is the only race of the year that is really crowded). The English come over from England en masse. All the ladies wore fabulous hats and men and women are all dressed up.
I love horse races. I didn%26#39;t win a dime but had a great time. I don%26#39;t bring a camera but went with friends and the guy has a blog so he took pictures of all the hats so my husband back home could see it. Great fun!
