How to get to tgv station in Nice from airport cheapest way

We will be arriving in Nice on Friday at midday and heading straight to avignon to take the tgv. How do we get from the airport to the train station the cheapest way possible. How long would it take approximately, so we could buy our tickets to Avignon.

Just take the Airport bus (No. 99) to the train ststion. They%26#39;re every 25 minutes and take around 20 minutes. There%26#39;s one at 12.23pm and 12.48pm.

thank you so much. Very helpful. Can you tell me how to get from the train station to les promenades des anglais, close to the raddisson hotel. Thanks again.

Hi Meesa,

It%26#39;s a pretty long hike to get to the Radisson from the station and I%26#39;m not sure whether any local buses go directly from the station to the Promenade des Anglais.

However the 23 bus from the station (heading to the Airport)goes along the Rue de Californie which runs paralell to the Promenade and would only be a few minutes walk if you got off at the right stop - maybe one of the local experts who contribute would be able to help with this.

Not sure I completely understood your question. Assuming you%26#39;re taking the trian to Nice, staying at the Radisson in Nice and then taking a train from Nice to Avignon.....

Anyhoo...if you need transportation from the Nice train station to the Promenade des Anglais, there is a new tram (Tram-Sport) that opened in Nov 2007. I haven%26#39;t ridden on it,but I%26#39;ve seen it. It%26#39;s very sleek and modern. I understand it stops at the station and has a stop very close to the Promenade.

Under 2euro.
