I just thought I had better share my recent knowledge of Hertz car hire in Bayeux. We had B%26amp;B guests from Georgia last night who got the train from Paris to Bayeux and were then supposed to hire a car from Hertz, Bayeux. Well, they had booked and paid for it but when they got to Bayeux the Hertz site had been flattened and is currently being rebuilt. Fortunately they found a taxi who had a friend who did local hire cars so they took one of his but will obviously be getting back to Hertz for a refund when they get home.
So if anyone has any plans to hire via Hertz in Bayeux in the next few weeks, please check with them that they do actually have a depot in Bayeux. Maybe they have moved it somewhere else but no one at the train station seemed to know anything about it to help my visitors.

According to the Hertz site, they no longer have an office in Bayeux.
The closest would be at the Station in Caen

Shame they%26#39;re still taking bookings then! Fortunately our guests arrived mid-morning yesterday. They could have been stranded had they arrived later in the day.

Hi there - I just reserved a car from Hertz in Bayeux for mid-May. I had seen this post, and decided to have the US Hertz office call and confirm that there was indeed a Bayeux depot. They told me that there is. Do you know if this is right?
