Grocery in the 1st?

Staying at apartment on rue de cygny in the 1st (Just by the Forum Les Halles). and need to find a more normal grocery than the little corner %26quot;convenience%26quot; market%26quot; for things like colas, bread, cheeses, meats, fruits, etc, etc.

Any suggestions?

Rue Montorgeuil is just a few streets away and has great food shops. It%26#39;s not a one stop supermarket but more typically Parisian.

Dear KT...,

The only grocery store I know of, (but I%26#39;m sure there are lots of others, I just don%26#39;t know them) is in the Rue de Buci, which is across the Seine from where you are staying. I think it is much more fun to shop the small specialty shops, which I am sure you will find, as noted above by Icbeck, in your own neighborhood.

Hope you have a great stay in Paris.

Bonne chance!

Try looking at locations or stores under

www.franprix.fr

or put your address into a Google map, then search for businesses by typing %26quot;grocery%26quot;.

Look for the GO stores just north of St. Eustache. I think there is a Casino around there as well.

Thanks to all as we now have many groceries....

Monoprix on Sebastopol first and then on to Rue Montorgeuil for way too much more.

And a stop on the way to the apartment for some every, very, good ice cream..

I know that Monoprix well. There is a bakery on the ground floor with some ready made sandwiches. The main grocery is upstairs. It is quite well stocked, but do try to avoid Friday evenings, as it is very crowded.
