Buy rail tickets in advance?

I am visiting France in June. I was thinking of buying rail tickets in advance on the internet from SNCF/RailEurope, but they seem expensive (£108 for 3 singles from Nantes to Paris). I%26#39;m only being offered the flexible Loisir tickets, and not the cheaper Prem%26#39;s.

Is it generally any cheaper to buy them at the station on the day?

Advice and help please! Thanks.

Does anyone have any experience or advice please?

Thanks

No

I find PREMs available for June 3rd at 66€ for 3 people.

Thanks. I%26#39;m travelling on 13 June and there are no Prem%26#39;s avaiable for the train I need to get.

Is it still better to get the Liosir now, or is there no advantage and I may as well get the ticket on the day?

TGV tickets are all sold in advance and require a reservation. I doubt you will actually save money by waiting and you risk there being no seats available.

Why not purchase tickets now?

OK. I think you are right about risking not getting on the train, so I will book now.

Thanks for your help

June 13th is quite far away and before the great rush for the Summer holidays, so you needn%26#39;t rush to buy those tickets, espcecially if at a premium rate. Is there really no alternative to prems? Have you tried the idtgv? it%26#39;s just as cheap but doesn%26#39;t go everywhere however. Do check the website.
