My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon and we would like some advice on restaurants in Paris. The first two nights we are staying in 1er arrondisement (only a few steps from the louvre) and the last 2 nights we are staying in the 5er arrondisement (two blocks south of seine). Various menu options are a must - as I am a picky eater :)
In so far as transportation, we are starting and ending our honeymoon in Paris and we need to know the best modes of transportation that will maximize our time in Paris, the following are flight details:
1st Day we arrive CDG at 10am and need to get to hotel in 1er arrondisement
3rd Day we depart CDG at 7:00am and need to get there from the 1er arrondisement
Return to CDG at 10pm and need to get to the 5er arrondisement.
Is it worthwhile to see the Moulin Rouge show?
What is the best Seine Cruise?
Sorry for all the questions, but you only do your honeymoon once (or at least that is what I am hoping for :))

No, no, and no!

To maximize your time, you will want to take the Metro. For transport to and from the hotel, you will probably want to avoid traffic and take rail to the city center. However, this may be a bit difficult if you are hauling a lot of luggage. You will find a lot of threads on transport from CDG. Just type %26quot;transportation from CDG%26quot; in the search field above.
Opinions will vary on the best Seine cruise. I have only used two different companies and I prefer Bateau Mouches, which departs from Pont Alma.
Regarding restaurants, you will also find a myriad of threads concerning the best eats in specific arrondisements. For example, type in %26quot;restaurants in 5th%26quot; or %26quot;restaurants near Louvre%26quot; and you will surely get some hits.
Happy honeymoon planning!

The Moulin Rouge show has turned into a kitchy tourist show akin to %26quot;It%26#39;s a Small World%26quot; at Disneyland. Avoid it...the neighborhood is seedy as well.
You will love the 5th...a little touristy but lots to see and plenty of good restaurants if you just walk around. The rule of thumb is to never eat at a restaurant where there is a waiter standing outside trying to get you to come in! Just follow your instincts - there are plenty to choose from!
Enjoy your honeymoon in Paris - how perfect!
