Help with Hotels

I am a solo, female traveller and am looking for an inexpensive, but safe, place to stay in Paris for 5 days in May.

Ideally, I%26#39;d like to have my own room (sharing a bathroom is fine) and my budget is 70 euros or less.

Are there any recommendations out there of what areas are safest and what aren%26#39;t?

I%26#39;d start by using Hotels and Accommodations and looking in the Bastille area (75012). It is a safe/pleasant area of Paris, quite close to the Marias and not far by public transport to the major Paris attractions. You can travel almost anywhere for just over a Euro.

There is the opera and plenty of nightlife in the district, so you aren%26#39;t giving up much other than a view of the Eiffel Tower.
