I am going to Paris with my husband for the first time and have spent ages looking for a reasonably priced hotel maybe in the latin quarter or nearabouts.
Please can anyone help - my budget is between £450 and £550 for 7 nights.
One more thing - Do most hotels have showers?

Dear Lozjane,
Have you considered the Hotel du College de France, which is located in the Latin Quater? I just checked the website, and a standard double goes for 97 Euro per night. The rooms do have showers. I went into the hotel a number of years ago, and was surprised, from the look of the lobby, that it was only a 2 star hotel. It gets consistently good reviews on TripAdvisor, too.
Bonne chance and bon voyage!

Hi Lozjane, have you looked at Cresta hotels? I used them for a great hotel in Venice and have just booked for Paris in July via the lovely Eurostar. The other place is Hotel Esmerelda, but it is an acquired taste! Have fun x

I thought the hotels were expensive and not too spacious, which is normal for Paris from what I read. I decided to rent an apartment instead. I rented one facing the Seine on Il De La Cite for around the same amount of a hotel that offered nothing.
There are many affordable, nice apts in the Latin Quarter. If you think you may be interested - just do a general search on Paris Apt rentals and you%26#39;ll see what I mean once you see the prices.

On my travel guide (it%26#39;s free, it has no promotions or advertisements) I list about 10-15 hotels that meet your needs.
