I know Pastis is a French liquor tasting like Anise, what is the difference in taste between Pastis and Sambucca? and different ways to drink it
Thanks

Pastis is not sweet like Sambucca. Usually water is addedd to Pastis. Pastis is more similar to the Greek oozo(spelled wrong I%26#39;m sure). I think Marie Brizzard is sweet like Sambucca.

Ouzo.
There are lots of brands of pastis, Pernod and Ricard are the most common.

Pastis is normally taken mixed with water( which then makes the clear fluid cloudy) it is not as sweet as Sambuca and makes a nice refreshing drink especially in the summer .

Thank you for your responses, can%26#39;t wait to try it

Although Pastis is available in Paris and throughout France, it is not exactly typical of Paris. Pastis has a regional, Provencal quality, the way, say, in Florida, conch and key limes have a regional quality.

Sambucca is an after-dinner drink ~ I%26#39;m not even sure it can qualify as a digestif. Very potent. Pastis is watered down considerably and usually drunk if the PM %26amp; evenings, at least in the south of France.

Pastis is a drink commonly found in the south. It is drunk much the same was a beer is consumed in the US.
