Paris scarf do they exist?

What would considered a Parisian scarf? Does it have to be silk? Is it rectangle or square?

I would like to take some scarfs home for my friends. They are easy to pack and lightweight.

They come in all shapes and sizes. Some like Herme are very costly. I usually buy scarfs for friends and relatives in the souvenier shops along Rue Di Rivoli. The Pashima type scarfs are very popular in cold weaather and are for sale everywhere.

Thank you for your information.

I%26#39;ve had good luck at Bon Marche as well.

Hi --

If you%26#39;re after Hermes scarves, they are available in the Duty Free shops in most major international airports - Heathrow, Rome, etc.

Also, outside the Galleries Lafayette Homme store, I saw a kiosk selling %26quot;cashmere%26quot; scarves for about 15 euros. Even though they may not actually be cashmere, they were nicer than the itchy/ polyester ones I eventually bought for friends for 6 euros at the souvenir shop and a lot less expensive that the one I bought for myself at Hermes. Shoulda, coulda, woulda!

They also sell scarves at lots of the street markets. They are quite nice. They probably run about 30E or so. You can find them a little cheaper or a little more expensive too.

You can find everything at Galleries Lafayette and Printemps

I would like to add, it is a great experience to go to the Hermes store and have them show you the scarves. It is such a beautiful store, not to be missed if you are into fashion and scarves.

There are a lot of cheap scarves for sale in Paris - but look to see if they are made in France.

For elegant silk scarves, do some web research to know what you would pay at home- so you can determine if this is a good deal when you see prices in Paris. By the way, when we left CDG, the duty free shop did not have scarves. Just wine, liquor and foods.

IF you mean any sort of cute Paris souvenir scarf, they are in street stalls in the Left Bank and maybe behind Notre Dame- I think maybe 7 Euros, %26quot;Paris%26quot; written all over them. Tho this sounds awful, many of my freq traveller buddies get a kick out of them.

If you are on the rue de Rivoli across from the Louvre, scarfs there were 3 for 15 euro with %26quot;Paris%26quot; and a drawing of the Eiffel tower woven into it-my friends loved it as a souvenir.

Iflew out of L. da Vinci airport- Hermes there had silk scarves duty free but still expensive.

Thank you very much for your information.
