hello
i am planning a trip to nice for 3 days in the beginining of June. would 3 days be enough time to see nice, and get a chance to vist other places such as monaco, cannes and st tropez?
thanks

Three days is hardly enough for Nice itself.
Monaco is an easy trip from Nice, very compact to visit and you can combine it with Cap Ferrat or Eze on the way from Nice to make a full-day trip.
St. Tropez would be a full-day trip on it%26#39;s own and given the distance and that it%26#39;s not quite as accesible by public transport as other places nearer to Nice (you%26#39;ll have to take the train, then boat or bus), I%26#39;d probably skip itwith only 3 days in the region altogether.
I%26#39;d definitely leave out Cannes - it%26#39;s a beach resort and not interesting enough to justify the visit given your very tight schedule.

Agree; stay local to Nice; there is SO much there to see and do. Drop St Tropez, it%26#39;s just about the most difficult place in France to get to, the beaches are miles out of town, town itself is pretty but there are better places. Cannes is OK but is as said. However you could %26quot;do%26quot; Cannes and Antibes (between Nice and Cannes in a day.) Eze is a must, Monte is a concrete jungle but everyone does want to see it; make sure you go the hill to the Old Town and Palace area. Trains, and ESP buses are cheap and excellent.

Hi folks,
I%26#39;m also staying in Nice for 3 nights in mid-May.
Is it possible to do the trip user Nice_French_Riviera suggests by public transportation only?
Thanks in advance.

Hi! I would spend all three days in Nice. You still won;t begin to do it justice. During those three days, if you want to see as much as you can in such a short time, use the train and take the short trip to Ville France or Beaulieu. You can walk from one to the other or take a very short bus ride. At the same time you can take in Cap Feratt. You can do all this in one day. Forget Cannes, nothing much there. Forget St. Tropez, it%26#39;s a full day just getting there and back. Monaco. as far as I%26#39;m concerned, is boring. Another thing you can do with one day is take the bus (another short trip) up to the mountain villages or take the train to Antibes.
But really, 3 days, Nice has so much to offer and you won%26#39;t cover it in a week.

Does anyone know if there are boat/helicopter/etc. tours from Nice to Cannes, St. Tropez, Monaco??
|||
in summer certainly, LONG boat trip to St Trop from Nice; not every day. From Cannes boat to St Trop more regular. Can be very hot and calm; can be quite choppy.
From Nice airport regular scheduled service in quite old (!) helicopters to Monaco. We did it once for the thrill; wife sat up front with %26quot;driver%26quot; and loved it. Lovely view along the coast but it is only about 10 minutes. Worst part is from the desk in Nice airport; carry luggage on to minibus (van); 10 mins round twisting airport roads to helicopter. At Monaco; on to another minibus and into centre of town or to hotel.
