Booking Hotels in Dijon

My husband and I will be visting France this May and will be making a stop in Dijon. We are having a difficult time booking a hotel via email and wondered if booking services, such as Venere are a good way to go.

Hi, what is your problem exactly? Hotels don%26#39;t answer you? Have you tried to fax them as well?

|||

No, we have not tried faxing but will if that if what you suggest - perhaps we should try calling this weekend, although our French is not that good - but we are practicing.

We were particularly interested in Le Jacquemart or the Hotel Chambellan - would you know if they are associated with one another? We have not seen any reivews on the Chambellan on TripAdvisor but it looks nice and is very reasonable and seems well located.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I checked le Chambelland website where they mention they can speak English, you should try emailing again before calling.

As for the Jacquemart I know many English speaking people who stayed there with no problem at all.

If you have problems with the language, feel free to pm me and I%26#39;ll help you writing your email.

Good luck.:-)

Dear HappyinDijon,

Thanks, we received an email this morning from Le Chambellan and plan on staying there. You seemed to have brought us luck.

Merci!

Quick Quick Please see my post and make decision.

I told HSBC not to pay.

After they investigated for 4 months they said it is between me and the hotel.

The hotel reception canceled me but I need to pay.

I think it is not good idea to pay by credit card for the things that you could not use.

Just go and find the hotel when you are ready. Many hotels along the railway station road and you may get better price if you check in late.

Don%26#39;t pay for the thing that you did not use!!
