for a 2 week stay I would definitely consider an apt. There are literally thousands though. The best bargains IMO are on VRBO as you can eliminate agents fees in some cases. If you feel more secure, use an agency but some are better than others. Your budget will make a difference as some agencies (ex Paris Perfect) are quite high end and others are quite reasonable. When you start looking at the various agencies see what is included. For example, some have a very hefty agency fee that they add on top of a quoted price whereas others it is included..same thing with cleaning so read the small print. The one negative is that all most all will want 50-100% of the total rental paid prior to arrival. I certainly would take out travel insurance to cover any contingencies. Good luck.

When we were in Paris last June we opted to stay in a B%26amp;B suggested by our niece who had stayed there twice. Cecelia is this great lady who runs the place which is not fancy but the location is great -the rooms have kitchenettes and Cecilia took very good care of us. we could stop every day at the bakery on our way to the train which took us to the eiffel tower in no time flat. If you want more specific information about the place send me a message - here is her website - she was quite reasonable -http://www.ceciliasguesthouse-iledefrance.com/

if you decide to contact her tell Barbara and Ed from Chicago said Hi.

I recommend Rentals-Paris (http://www.rentals-paris.com) based on recent experience. The price is all-inclusive, no add-ons later. Their service was first rate both before and during our stay.
