Trip to Toulouse, Lourdes, Pau, St. Jean de Luz, Bordeaux?

I%26#39;m trying to plan a 10-14 day trip, starting in Toulouse, and stopping in Lourdes, Pau, St. Jean de Luz., and a few other stops along the way.

I%26#39;ll be travelling with my parents who are in their 70s. We%26#39;re mostly interested in cultural things, architecture, art, museums, landscape %26amp;scenery. I%26#39;m not interested in surfing, lying on a beach, or partying, but I would like at least a couple nights on the Atlantic.

Where else would you suggest visiting? I%26#39;m hoping to take the train from place to place, to avoid having to rent a car.

In Toulouse, how many days/nights would you suggest, if I wanted to see its cultural highlights?

Would you include Bordeaux in a trip like this, or should I save it for another trip? Should I try to fit in a side trip to San Sebastian instead?

I look forward to hearing your suggestions and comments.

San Sebastian is well worth a detour as you will taste some of the best food in Europe there!! Bordeaux is really nice and I think you can get away with a flying visit! As for Toulouse there is a lot to see especially if you are interested in museums, churches and art. I think a lot of people find Lourdes a little touristy and therefore disappointing. Pau is very pretty and gentile.

I would suggest hiring a car as that way you will see some of the beautiful countryside outside of these cities.

Personally I think you have plenty of time to see the highlights of these areas
