Traveling with my 17 year old daughter in July. So far our itinerary is 4 days in Paris, then train to Lisieux, rent car to visit Honfleur, then stay one night in Bayeux. Next day, visit WWII beaches. Our ultimate destination is to visit a friend in Brest for a week. In order to avoid being way too rushed, I am thinking we should plan to stop and stay overnight somewhere between Avranches and Brest. Would you recommend either St. Malo, Dinan or Dinard? Or should we just press on, knowing that we will tour many scenic towns and villages in Brittany while we are visitng our friends? I really don%26#39;t mind driving 4-5 hours in a day - especially in a beautiful area.

Hi, all of the place you mentioned are lovely. St Malo has the old town and some lovely restaurants and little shops. Dinard has a nice beach however, as you say you are only there for a short time, I would recommend Dinan as there are lots of pretty little streets to walk along, medieval houses to look at and local dishes to try. Also there is a nice port at the foot of Rue de Jezurel. Hope this helps, have a nice time.
