Hi sainthill
I replied to you on the other post. Try emailing some hotels direct. They do get booked up for May early, but you never know you may find one available.

Or try the hotels out at the airport maybe, also there are a few hotels up by the station,but the area around there isnt very nice!
|||
Try the Holiday Inn on Avenue Victor Hugo, it%26#39;s easy walking distance to the train station.

I think you;ve left it until the last minute to get accommodation.We are also going to the Grand prix - and I booked up our hotel in Nice over a year ago having taken advice from this forum last year. . Why not try small towns further along the coast-either towards the Italian border or in the other direction- GOOD LUCK.

I can%26#39;t believe that every hotel in Nice is fully booked. We made a late reservation at Le Meridien two years ago and had no probs (although the room was really, really bad for a 4*!). So either keep trying for Nice or look further afield at somewhere like Menton - which is actually much closer to Monaco than Nice.

Hi sainthill, have you got fixed up yet? Have a look on www.laterooms.com they seem to have some availability for the night you want, I%26#39;ve booked through them several times and they are excellent. Otherwise try some of the places the train stops round toward Cannes, ie Biot, you would have the advantage of already being on the train before it got into Nice station and saving all the crush.
