Kong Restaurant

My Wife and I will be in Paris at the end of the month and are interested in going to Kong Restauraunt. I know it has been open for a few years and wanted to find out if it was still considered trendy?

We are from SOoth beach so if that helps with what we may be looking for.

Also any other suggestions on the hip and trendy places would be great as well.

Thanks,

Rob

It sounds like Kong may be too passe for you.

I had dinner at Kong in Sept. %26#39;07 (last year). I consider it trendy. The place was packed with young couples (late 20%26#39;s, 30%26#39;s). They were all dressed up and the restaurant is a nice restaurant. It is the kind of place these couples would go to to celebrate something. They also have a bar which I didn%26#39;t hang out at but it was packed. Kong isn%26#39;t easy to find. It is upstairs in a modern office building. But the locals definitely know how to find it.

I don%26#39;t know what South Beach is like. If you like nice restaurants for younger couples, you will like this.

You need a reservation in advance. This place is popular!

We were there for dinner on a Sunday night last month and it was packed with locals and tourists, young and old. That%26#39;s me holding up one of the menus to my face at Kong.

It%26#39;s a really cool place with funky design elements, but I%26#39;ve read that is not the hot spot it used to be. You mentioned being from South Beach, so in my mind, you were asking about the latest clubs or lounges that are popular with the %26quot;in%26quot; crowd. I don%26#39;t think that Kong fits that description. I%26#39;m sure that it once did, but after you%26#39;ve appeared on an episode of S*x and the City, there%26#39;s no turning back. Now, that%26#39;s not to say that I wouldn%26#39;t recommend checking it out.

[I think it%26#39;s ridiculous that I can%26#39;t spell out S*x without getting the %26quot;Message body contains profanities%26quot; message!]

I agree with what Ouiparis said. It is nice and packed with young couples but there isn%26#39;t really anything going on in the restaurant except well dressed young couples eating dinner. I%26#39;m not sure what you mean by %26quot;trendy%26quot;. I guess that is because I am old, old, old--and part of me (all of me) doesn%26#39;t even want to know!
