directions to fashion show

we are finally leaving for paris tomorrow evening.

we arrive at 8:50 friday morning. we are staying at the marriott rive gauche. my daughter and i are going to try very hard to go the the fashion show at galeries lafayette. i have the tickets already. if someone could help us with directions from the hotel to the show, we would greatly appreciate it. it will be our only chance to see a paris fashion show!

The GALERIES LAFAYETTE store(s) are located near (a block away) the HARVE-CAUMARTIN Metro station, which is served by the #3 %26amp; #9.

So here%26#39;s a grand opportunity for you to begin to figure out route planning from your hotel in Paris....to everywhere else in Paris.

Find the nearest Metro station to your hotel and then find out which Metro ligne(s) serve the station. Then find the HARVE-CAUMARTIN station and follow the brightly coloured, numbered lignes on the Metro map until you to get from one station to the other. It%26#39;s pretty much that simple.

k tournesol.....i plan on using the concierge to help us in general, but because we will have very little time to get to the fashion show, i was trying to save some time by asking the wonderful people on these boards to help us out. as it is our first time in paris, my daughter and i will probably have to rely on concierge alot!

It doesn%26#39;t really make that much difference, but the Chaussee d%26#39;Antin-La Fayette metro station (lines 7 + 9) is probably a bit closer to Galeries Lafayette. When you exit that station, it%26#39;s one of the first things you%26#39;ll see.

from Glacière metro station, take line 6 (dir. Nation) to Place d%26#39;Italie, then change to line 7 (dir. La Courneuve-8-mai-1945) and get off at Chaussée d%26#39;Antin (La Fayette). Total time: 30 mins.

The fashion show at Galerie Lafayette begins at 15:00 (3:00 PM) on Friday afternoon. Just how long do you exepect it to take to get from a 08:50 AM CDG arrival...into a Paris hotel...and then back across town to Galeries Lafayette ?? That%26#39;s SIX(6) hours from time of arrival until the Fashion Show.
