Car Hire - Toulouse airport

Looking to hire a car in June for 11 days from Toulouse Airport.

Can anyone recommend a hire company that is good value and has good clean vehicles plus wont surprise you with lots of charges afterwards?

Also, any companies to avoid??!!

We hired a car at Toulouse Aiport two years ago - there was six of us and we got a beautiful Peugeot 807. I rented the car through the Aer Lingus website and used Hertz. I have to say I found Hertz excellent with no hidden charges or extras or surprises at the end of our trip. No complaints would recommend.

You might find it cheaper to take the airport bus into the train station in Toulouse where there are a number of car rental places. That%26#39;s what we did. However we made the mistake of using Europcar because they gave us the cheapest rates on-line. The other major agencies are at the train station, use one of them, well worth paying a bit more and avoiding the hassles.

Aprreciate the suggestions. Have two young kids with us (and luggage) so we%26#39;ll really need to collect/drop at the airport.

You hear so many horror stories about car hire, people being charged €s after the hire period ends, when they get home etc so all suggestions welcome.

Just back from Toulouse where we hired a nice little Seat from Budget through www.121Carhire.com.

Beware the hire companies desks are in the arrival hall and the pick up point is in Car Park 2. This is a very long walk from the terminal. Leave the family while you collect the car. When you return it, if you need to fill it up, there are very few (ie no) petrol station near the airport. I saw most of Blagnac before someone pointed me to the big shopping center to the east. There is an E Leclerc supermarket there.

And we%26#39;ve used Avis there as well, with no problems. That%26#39;s just about all the big groups, isn%26#39;t it?

Hi there, I%26#39;m from Toulouse myself and I would definitely recommend taking the car directly at the airport indeed. The rent desk will explain to you where to pick the car up, as it%26#39;s located on a big parking outside of the airport terminal where ALL the companies share a big parking.I always book with www.holidaysauto.co.uk and they always offer competitive rates.And they%26#39;re very pro too. Hope this helps.
