Bonjour,
I%26#39;ve carefully combed the postings %26amp; other sources for lunch %26amp; dinner spots in the 5éme and would appreciate it if anyone can confirm whether the places listed below are still open %26amp; good choices. We%26#39;re trying to balance quality of food, price and ambiance %26amp; avoid tourist traps. Our French is sketchy but fortunately we do know a lot of food items and preparations.
Cafe Bourgogne
Le Petit Prince de Paris
Le Jardin d%26#39;Ivy
Mavrommatis
Polidor
Also, what about Le Boulanger de Monge for sandwiches etc?
Merci!

You might add Le Reminet on r. des Grand Degres. It is always quite good and reasonably priced. Also, the market at Place Maubert on Tues/Thurs/Sat always has wonderful offerings.

I think i have heard miwed reviews about Polidor

Thanks very much!

Polidor was on my list three years ago but not any more. Even their signature Lentil soup with creme and Fois Gras has become bland.
I second adding Le Reminet to the list. Great little bistro.

Another %26#39;no%26#39; to Polidor - we went last year and the food was very ordinary even at the price (tough chicken breast in one main course and inedible bits of veal in the other). We couldn%26#39;t even finish the house wine, which has never happened to us before in France.
On the other hand we liked Perraudin - similar style, though a bit more expensive.
