3 days in Nice with teenagers and need suggestions

Hello everyone! Our family of 5 with 3 teens will be traveling from London to Naples mid July. We have 3 nights to stop over in France if we want and we are considering spending it in Nice.I am looking for suggestions on which area would be suitable to stay and some idea of what to do. They love the beach. Ages are 18, 16 and 13.Thanks in advance.

Nice%26#39;s beach is not nice.

Am bumping up your post to give it another opportunity to reach an expert.

No the beaches are not that pleasant as they are pebbles not sand so you need plastic beach shoes. But the beach facilities are first class. Toilets.showers.sunbeds.parasols for hire and all along Promenade des Anglais.Don%26#39;t want to sound negative but your teenagers may find it too quiet.A better resort would be St Raphael where the beaches are vast and sandy and the night life is more active. Is that one of your options?Nice is a large city one of the largest in France but by contrast St Raphael is small. I first holidayed there 45 years ago and I have a lifetimes%26#39; memories including le Jean Bart bar on the promenade. I wonder if it is still there????

Hello, I fully recommend seeing St Paul de Vence when you are staying in the area of Nice. Not sure how you get there without a car but it was superb. Village is located up high past Vence, from memory, and great little artist colony and views. All the bus tours go there so fingers crossed you don%26#39;t mix it with them. Too remote to stay with teenagers.

Nice was too big for us so didn%26#39;t really stay there. The beach has pebbles like they say and it was fairly calm, where teenagers can tend to like the surf.

I think Nice is fine for this age of teenagers. My cousin came out last year with her family (she%26#39;s 17) and she had a ball. The parents are quite liberal so they let her go to Wayne%26#39;s for some of the time with them there as well, but in a different part of the pub.

If they like to skate / willing to learn then you can%26#39;t beat the Promenade. Same for cycling since the cycle path is excellent.

Stay centrally, ie Old Town or Place Massena so you can get to the beach easily.
