24 hours in chartres

going to spend 24 hours in chartres

what sort of things should I do to make the most of it. At the mo i am finding getting a hotel a prob, must be a popular place

Rooms are plentiful this time of year. Contact tourist office. Things to do: Visit tourist office to get info on english lang. guided tour by Malcom ?. Then do walking tour of village. Eat.

Try Du Boeuf Coronne or Hotel de la Poste - otherwise plenty of others, Ibis, Novotel etc. Walk round cathedral - stunning stained glass; walk around town (upper and lower); plenty of places to eat and drink

Everyone so far has given good ideas, try the %26#39;things to do%26#39; tab on the left too.

Hotel De La Poste is good as far as I am concerned, the rooms at the front have a great view of the Cathederal, and the reception staff are lovely.
