Hi everyone,
If we visit the Louvre, then leave and return later on the same day, will we need to pay for another ticket?
And would we be re-queuing? We%26#39;d like to break it into two visits so that we can avoid overload and have a rest, probably on one of the days that the museum is open late. Any information is very much appreciated, thanks.

Hi,
I don%26#39;t know about the regular ticket, but a comined ticket (metro+Louvre) that can be bought in the metro station does let you go in and out as much as you like.

The normal ticket has the date on it and you can leave and return as often as you like for that day as long as you keep your ticket. You do need to go through the security queues again (naturally!) but obviously you don%26#39;t need to queue to buy another ticket. If you enter through the shopping arcade entrance downstairs the security line is shorter than by the Pyramid entrance. There are excellent photo opportunities at the Pyramid entrance so leaving that way at least once is recommended.

OhadB and HarleyB,..thanks for your responses and information. It%26#39;s very helpful to know that we can pace ourselves and spread our experience of the Louvre over two visits.

I presume you know about the Museum Pass? ....much better value if you plan to visit a few places and saves queuing up.
