Dordogne Valley or Provance

Hello,

We will be driving from Loire Valley to Provance, so I was hoping someone could tell me if it makes sense to stop in Dordogne Valley (we will only have 1.5 day) or we should continue to Provance and spend this time there instead.Thank you very much!

Check with one of the following route planners. It might take 1.5 days to drive from the Loire Valley to Provence without stopping in the Dordogne Valley.

Could someone recommend the best sites we should visit in 1.5 days we will have in Dordogne? I know it%26#39;s nothing for this region, so I would greatly appreciate suggestions for the most efficient way to spend that little time we will have there.

The Dordogne is a fairly significant detour from the Loire-Provence route, and will add a lot of driving time -- Loire to the Dordogne is about 4-1/2 hours, Loire to Provence is about 7 hours...and the Dordogne to Provence is easily 5-6 hours or so -- so you%26#39;re nearly doubling your road time.

Take a look at the maps that Sarastro referenced, and see if your schedule allows that big of a detour.
